St. Columba’s ASD centre is a co-educational facility. It was established in 2002 and caters for children with autism and mild general learning disabilities. An eclectic approach to teaching is used to facilitate children in our care, with T.E.A.C.H, A.B.A and P.E.C.S used in the classroom. the children have full use of our sensory room and sensory garden. They have full access to all areas of the school including the library and computer room. Children attend mainstream classes, accessing the class according to the child’s capabilities. We currently have four classes with 24 children within our ASD centre.
