On behalf of St. Columba’s Boys’ National School learning community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website, which will give you a window into the world of St. Columba’s BNS.

St. Columba’s was established here in Douglas in the 1960’s and since then we have been educating the boys from the Douglas area. We have students at St. Columba’s from many different nationalities.

At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and St. Columba’s BNS is no exception. Our faculty are trained in instructional best practices and demonstrate a huge commitment to the education and well being of all our students.

We strive to provide a very high standard of education within a happy caring environment.  We believe that a broad, balanced, educational experience will allow our pupils to reach their full potential. Our other school partners – an active Parents’ Association, a dedicated Board of Management and supportive Patron – all strive to provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.

We are a vibrant school community, which fosters inclusiveness, spirituality, individuality, difference and the development of all our talents. We pride ourselves on the atmosphere of mutual respect and an expectation of the highest standards of behaviour, of work ethic and of personal achievement. We strive to allow each student become the very best that they wish to be, while empowering them to meet the challenges of education and of life.

2015 – 2016 promises to be an exciting year as the school community continues to work together to consolidate the great achievements happening at the school. Through thoughtful strategic planning we will strive to take St. Columba’s BNS to an aspiring new level of educational quality and performance. Our goal is to continue to develop a school of excellence for all students.
