St. Columba’s has been a Green School for many years. We received our first green flag in 2009 for reducing litter and waste. Since then we have also earned green flags for energy, water conservation and global citizenship. We are currently working on the ‘Travel’ flag. Our aim is to encourage more people to walk to school and work and cut down on car usage where possible. The Green Schools Co-ordinator in St. Columba’s is Mary Scannell and our Green Committee for 2015 – 2016 consists of the following students:
6th Class
Daniel O’Leary, Graham Scanlon, Cian Clarke, Sanjay Magesh, Nikita Medalovich, Jamal Mian Shahid
